Women suffering from menstrual migraine must identify and avoid things that aggravate the pain and this is one of the best means of reducing the severity and frequency of migraine attacks. This method needs close observation of the migraine attack and recognising the source that is responsible to aggravate the pain such as stress, food items such as caffeine, red wine , missing out on medications or food, changes in sleeping pattern. Few patients are advised to maintain a diary regularly, changes in discipline, changes in lifestyle and further meticulous evasion of identified causes can be needed just about the time of menstrual period. Women must identify sources and try to get enough sleep, eat at regular intervals, and avoid consumption of alcohol prior to commencement of menstruation and most of the women get relief by getting indulged in regular exercise such as aerobics.
